From October 27 to October 29, 2022, the III International Scientific Conference «Cognitive Paradigms of Linguistic Consciousness and the Problems of Bilingualism in Modern Linguistics» was held on the basis of the Adyghe State University, dedicated to the actual problems of cognitive linguistics and bilingualism - the study of paradigms of bilingual consciousness in the ethnolinguocultural space. The work of the conference was held in the following areas: 1 Theoretical problems of linguocognitive processes and linguistic consciousness: development and prospects. 2 Social and philosophical basis of cognitive processes in the modern ethno-linguistic space of culture: general and particular issues. 3 Philosophical aspects of the theory of nomination and reformation (correlation of word, thought and thing). 4 The modern world: the dynamics of the bilingual consciousness of the ethnos and personality in the North Caucasian linguistic space. 5 Different types of bilingualism and interference phenomena in the language. 6 Contact and distant bilingualism in the linguoethnocultural space. 7 Dialogue of cultures: problems of preserving the national identity and linguistic culture of indigenous peoples. 8 Bilingualism in the context of genetic and typological commonality and areal relations: traditions and modernity. 9 Cognitive-semantic studies of text and discourse: paradigms of bilingual consciousness. 10 Theoretical and applied problems in the study of cognitive paradigms. 11 Neurolinguistics and bilingualism. The conference was attended by scientists from Uzbekistan and Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen region, the republics of Yakutia and Kabardino-Balkaria). Our laboratory was presented by senior researcher Marina Kysylbaikova, with a report on the topic «Linguistic situation in the Anabar region of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)», junior researcher Igor Danilov, with a report on the topic «Youth and languages of the indigenous peoples of the North in a sociolinguistic perspective». Within the framework of the conference, the participants were given the opportunity to attend a lecture by the professor of the Department of General and Comparative Historical Linguistics of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov Natalia Vladimirovna Ufimtseva. The lecturer told why experiments in national republics, where a large proportion of the population can be considered bilingual, are especially important and interesting for the study of the functions of language and linguistic consciousness. Opportunities for cooperation with the Adyghe State University were discussed during the trip.
