Members of the International Research Laboratory “The Arctic Linguistic Ecology Lab” Marina Kysylbaikova, Irena Khokholova, and Igor Danilov visited the Republic of Tatarstan from May 23 to May 28, 2022. Young researchers completed a short–term scientific training at the Institute of Applied Semiotics of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. As part of the training program, they attended a seminar on computational linguistics, learned about the institute's projects and discussed ways of scientific collaboration. Reminder: one of the priority tasks of the laboratory is the documentation and digitalization of the languages of the Arctic and Subarctic. In addition, the team members visited the Institute of History of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Language, Literature, and Arts of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, and Tatar gymnasium No. 2 named after Sh. Marjani, where researchers from different universities shared their work experiences and discussed possibilities of further cooperation
